Creating music by exploring sound

The incredible youth choirs of South Africa have been close to my heart since I lived there. The renowned Ndlovu Youth Choir recently released this version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody in isiZulu (the "click" language).

I am awed by the way they have somehow retained the integrity of the original iconic sound of Queen's classic song and layered it with their own flavour that is distinctively Zulu, and it WORKS!

For those students who like to explore various sounds in their music this is a wonderful way to bring music alive. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner learner, or more advanced we can all enjoy learning to make music with our own distinctive sound.
